Why do advertisements, web sites, and contracts attempt to take away in the fine print, that which was given in the large print. Perhaps it is because we live in such a litigious society. Perhaps it is because we no longer trust each other. If only we all let our "yes" be "yes" and our "no" be "no." This web site could have pages of disclaimers, lots of fine print, and more legalese than anyone would care to read. And yet, in spite of all the precautions, someone could decide to sue over some bit of information provided here. Having personally been the defendant in two cases as a homeowner, it is very evident that anyone can sue anyone for anything. It does not matter that there is no reasonable grounds for a dispute.

It may be legal to load pages on this site with disclaimers, but it would not further the mission of solving problems, resolving conflict, or communicating with potential clients. The policies stated here are clarifications to ensure no misunderstandings occur.
